ONA is awarded with the Spanish Machine Tool Design Prize 2008
During the Machine Tool Exhibition that took place in Bilbao (BIEMH, March 3 – 8), the Spanish Machine Tool Design Prize 2008 was awarded by BAI Agencia de Innovación, in cooperation with AFM (the Spanish Association of Machine Tool Manufacturers ) and BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Centre).
In the Metal Cutting section, ONA Electroerosion received the prize “for the integration of the different elements, its ergonomic design and communication of the new high speed, wire-cut EDM ONA AF-25 machine. Ibarmia Innovatek y Danobat got also special mentions for their ZVH55/L3000 multipurpose machining centre and the CP521 AF horizontal band-saw, respectively.
Created 18 years ago, this Prize has become a reference to assess the evolution of machine tools. Not only from a technological point of view, but also from the safety, innovation, eco-friendly and ergonomic design and communication standpoints.
