ONA has set up a new division, ONA Filter Systems, to market filtering equipment for the cutting fluids used in EDM and in grinding operations. It had its own stand at the machine tool fair held in March in Bilbao. These filters, entirely developed in our R&D department, already came with ONA EDM machines as standard. However, when they were so well received in the US, France, Germany, and Scandinavia, we knew we had to take a further step. Salient advantages The technology issuing from this new division, which is under the managership of José Luis Arín, has various advantages to offer. Our filters do not require any consumibles, and maintenance costs are virtually nil. They can be used either in central equipment or in individual machines. They're highly efficient, so that productivity can be raised by as much as 15%, while at the same time safety and hygiene are enhanced.
