GENERAL ELECTRIC becomes the largest user of AQUAPRIMA filters in the world. Following a series of rigorous trials with a test unit, General Electric decided in 1998 to centralize its wire EDM units, applying ONA filtering technology. Today General Electric is again placing its faith in this technology as it enlarges its EDM machining plants. It has purchased fourteen Aquaprima AX80 units with 800mm carboys. These filtering units are in addition to the six AX80 systems that GE purchased in 1999, which supply to eighteen wire EDM units. With an overall capacity of 5000 litres per minute, they will supply dielectric to forty two machines.
